December 18, 2010:
Two litters at a time!  Both our girls came into season on the same day.  We will be breeding them during the week of Christmas.  The puppies should arrive in late-February.  See the "Puppies" page for details.

February 24, 2011:
Good news and bad.  The good news is that Savvy, the Belgian Sheepdog (Fire & Ice litter) will be having eight puppies.  We saw eight clearly on the x-ray.

The bad news is that Shady, the Belgian Tervuren, is not pregnant.  Our repro vet thinks it is a matter of timing when she was bred. 

Both our girls came into heat at the same time, and were "ready" to be bred during the Christmas holidays.  We were able to send Savvy to Frio for a couple of weeks.  We took Shady to Koda, and due to various holiday obligations, we missed the ovulation date.

Shady will be bred to Koda again in the summer.


March 4, 2011:

The Fire & Ice litter is here.  Six boys and two girls, all healthy.  Please see the Fire & Ice litter page and photos for early pictures of the puppies.


July 5, 2011:

The Fire & Ice litter is now four months old.  All are doing very well.  We are extremely proud of this litter and expect great things from them.

Now it's Shady's turn.  Breeding will take place this month with puppies expected in September.  We will be using Cutter, now deceased, who has been "on ice" for 10 years.


August 23. 2011

Shady's breeding didn't work out last month, so we're waiting on her next season.  We've got a beautiful boy picked out for her; one who shares her work ethic, temperament, and love of their people.  Puppies should be here March, 2012.

We kept two puppies out of Savvy's litter - the pick male (Sindarin's Golden Fire of Merlin) and the pick female (Sindarin's Fire of Syrcie).  We hope to start their conformation careers in October.


November 28, 2011

We took Merlin & Syrcie, both Fire & Ice puppies, to their first conformation show over the weekend.  Saturday, Syrcie won WB and BOS for one point.  Sunday, Merlin won WD and BOW for two points.  Great results for a first show.


March 19, 2012

We would like to announce Merlin's most recent win - he took Best of Winners at the Belgian Sheepdog Specialty in Glen Rose in January.  He now has both of his majors.  We will be out of the ring for a couple of months as both Merlin and Syrcie are going through their first coat blow and are naked.

Shady will be bred to P.D. in July in Ohio.  The artificial breeding in January didn't take.  Puppies should be here in September.

September 17, 2012

Shady continues to be a challenge.  The breeding to P.D. did not take place in July as Shady came into season three months early.  The repro vet has advised us to do a live breeding next.  She is now in season and we will be breeding her to a beautiful boy known as Remy.  We hope for puppies in late November/early December.
